Your Healthy Life Starts Here

A Simple Guide to Healthy Living

1. Explore new ways to eat

Trying new things can be a delicious adventure and altering your eating habits can be great for your health and wellbeing. One way to begin eating healthier is to replace processed meats like salami and sausages for a leaner substitute like fish, poultry or lamb. If you're time starved and find it easier to feed your family with your usual recipes, why not purchase a cookbook for "meals in 30 minutes." There are a whole variety of easy to follow recipes on offer and you can even get your kids involved in the process.

2. Hydrate the easy way

8 glasses of water a day can seem like a lot to many people, making it seem a lot more difficult than it actually is! Everyone knows that it's important to stay well hydrated, so follow these simple tips and keep your fluid intake at the proper level.

Eat more fruit. That's right, you read correctly. Fruit contains plenty of natural sugars, sweeteners and water! This is a simple way to re-hydrate.

Keep a bottle of water with you at all times. If you see it in front of you, it will remind you to drink it!

Drinking water can help lower your risk for heart attacks, help with digestive problems, enhance weight loss and help boost your energy levels.

3. Get out there and enjoy life!

In the age of instant technology, it's easy to be spend your time at home being entertained, without leaving the comfort of your couch. But getting outside in the fresh air can have great health benefits! The sun is a natural source of vitamin D and getting your family to enjoy some time together outside will pave the way for a little exercise as well! Regular physical activity is great for your health. It can control your blood pressure, raise your good cholesterol, be fun, help you look your best, improve your sleep and help you feel better about yourself.

Taking just 20 minutes out of your day to spend time with your family outdoors will make a big difference to your overall wellbeing. Why not take your pet for a walk? Book in for dance lessons (you're never too old to start!) take your child to the park or even go for a gentle stroll with your loved one - exercise doesn't have to be about going to the gym.

If your excuse for not exercising is joint pain - you don't have to suffer any longer. You too can get out there with your family and enjoy the outdoors. Take a moment to read about Joint Eze Plus.

4. Discover brain games

Life today is fast-paced and we are often juggling many things at once. To restore some balance back into your life, why not try fun brain games? Available anywhere on the internet or in most newspapers, brain games can help you learn to focus more on the tasks at hand, improving your concentration and memory functions.

Did you know: staying mentally active reduces the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

5. Avoid the dreaded flu

These days, we are lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel all over the world, as well as to welcome visitors to our shores. This brings education, a cosmopolitan lifestyle, multiculturalism and all manner of positive, life-enhancing benefits but it also exposes the global population to many contagious virus and influenza bugs. We now have the knowledge to help our immune system function at its best, assisting it to cope with and respond quickly when exposed to the many cold and flu bugs that also enjoy the same global lifestyle that we do!

Think about how often you get a cold or the flu. Now think about how much that affects your lifestyle and the people around you. No-one likes to feel horrible and it can get frustrating having to wait to get well again.

Paying to be healthy is much better than paying to be sick!
